Love and Kare Home Health was established in 2018 by Suzanne because she fell in love with providing care for an elderly couple whom she had known for years. Suzanne has a degree in Business Management from California State University, Northridge. While she was in college, she started working for an elderly couple so she could pay her way through school. After she graduated, she began working for the couple full time. By that time, Suzanne had developed a bond with the couple, and that’s when she realized that she had a passion for taking care of elders. Suzanne worked long and hard for her degree, so she figured the best way to utilize it was to turn her passion into a business and help families at the same time. Suzanne worked for the couple for eight years until both passed. After working for the couple for so long, Suzanne realized the need for quality care, which led her to open a Home Care Organization that caters to people who need love and care. Love and Kare Home Health will strive to accommodate the client needs in every way possible. All services are geared towards that client’s needs to ensure a better quality of life, while in the comfort and safety of their own home. Love and Kare Home Health’s vision is to be the number one non-medical home care organization in the San Fernando Valley.

The South Valley BusinessSource Center has been assisting Suzanne since February 2016. The client has had several businesses over the years including selling Mary Kay Cosmetics and Hair Extensions. In June 2017, Suzanne expressed interested in starting a Home Care Organization business. As an independent home care provider for the last eight years, she was ready to expand her passion into a business. The South Valley BusinessSource Center began assisting Suzanne with completing the Home Care Organization application with the California Department of Social Services and with developing her business plan. In November 2018, Suzanne received her Home Care Organization License from the State of California and was ready to move forward with officially launching her business in the City of Los Angeles.
In January 2019, Suzanne was assisted with the filing and publishing of her DBA and Business Tax Registration Certificate for Love and Kare Home Health under the Love and Kare LLC and is located at 6300 Variel # 116 Woodland Hills, Ca 91367. In addition to assisting the client with license and permits, Suzanne was assisted with marketing including social media logo design, branding, and networking, developing business cards, and website development. Love and Kare Home Health was also assisted on human resources and was provided with tips and tools on how to hire and manage employees and was assisted with creating a job description and an employee handbook.
Love and Kare Home Health is looking to hire 5 employees and has been referred to several WorkSource Center in the area including Build West Valley WorkSource, Canoga Park South Valley WorkSource Center and Pacoima Northeast Valley Business Source for assistance with hiring.
Next Steps for Love and Kare Home Health is to continue to receive assistance from the South Valley BusinessSource Center on Bookkeeping, Building Business Credit and Minority Business Enterprise and Women Business Enterprise Certification.
