Jumarka CNC Manufacturing

Jumarka CNC Manufacturing is a small business located in LA City Council District 12 – Chatsworth, CA whose current projects include manufacturing handles for bus windows and pulleys for gym machines as well as applying a powder coat, anodization, and sandblasting the parts. Jumarka CNC is owned and operated by Juan and his family. Juan had 11 years of experience in programming CNC machines prior to seeking to create his own business in 2014 to provide a better future for his family and to help create jobs for more people.

Juan first came into contact with the South Valley BusinessSource center in 2016 when they attended a small business workshop. 

Since then, Jumarka has been in contact with Luis Luna, who is now the Program Manager of  ICON CDC’s South Valley Business Source Center, with any questions related to their business. Luis Luna has assisted Juan to establish credit to the company, provide referrals to the right people to complete specific projects for their business needs, providing technical assistance to fill out the documentation that the city required, and, most recently, helping apply and package loans for COVID-19 relief funding like Relief Grant. With the BusinessSources’ assistance, Jumarka was able to obtain the California COVID-19 Relief Grant and they were also able to secure a loan. This allowed them to pay owed rent, past due operating expenses, and salaries which lead to the retention of 3 Full-Time jobs and hiring a Part-Time administrative assistant.
